Cow + Flame background

Ft Collins Hike

It ain't artwork, but I just wanted to upload some photos of me and some friends of mine on a hike up in Ft. Collins.

Well, they're photos, so yeah, it's technically art.

Art Gallery Sneak Preview

Here's a sneak preview (lucky you!) of Mark and I's upcoming art gallery show. This will be the potential layout with the "big 3" of grilling's most popular meats: beef, pork, and chicken.

It features a southern cow, a school-girl pig, and burlesque chicken.

Pig render, final

Here is the version that's 90% complete.

I'm deciding if I want the apple to be realistic to draw attention to it, or if I should leave it vector like the rest.

The apple, which intended to be a ball-gag, turns into a symbolic forbidden fruit with the innocentness of the pig. Also, note the a nice juxtaposition between the warm, organic pig and the cold steel of the grill. Note it!

Pig render, pt3

Here is the pig now with cel-shading applied to it. I wanted it to really look like a vector cartoon. It's really coming along together here as I apply different "shading" techniques to the pig.

With colors, I've probably put 10 hours into it so far.

The arrow is merely my reminder of where a potential light source is coming from.

Pig render, pt2

Here is the sketch with applied base colors, experimenting with the pink of the skin, combined with the innocent shade of blue in the ribbon and her fingernails.
